In today’s news, Tower Records files for bankruptcy, citing among other things, “digital downloading and file copying.” Right. Here’s an idea retailers need to get used to: it is not okay to charge $14 for a new CD release. This is 2004, not 1988. Goodbye, Tower Records, and good riddance.
