Today’s link of the day: The Exorcist in 30 Seconds, re-enacted by bunnies. Remember: when in doubt, it’s on the Internet — no matter what.

Steph and I bought a new faucet last night, and I replaced it myself. Easy. I also just updated my Passat service log with the latest and greatest news.

Luckily, we don’t have to replace the whole heat pump – just some $500 electronic gizmo inside it. Oh, and we can go ahead and add a new kitchen faucet to the list. That had been dripping and acting up for some time, and tonight it decided that now was the ideal time to break completely. I might need to punch the next person I see just for the heck of it.

I’m currently pondering four possibilities to explain my fury right now. One, our house is a money pit. Two, our house is just over fifteen years old and things are breaking all at once. Three, I am extremely unlucky. Or four, this is what home ownership is all about. Rather than go into gory details, I’ll simply list the problem areas from our first year in our first house: one new toilet repair kit, one new toilet seat, new shower faucet, shower caulk repair, mystery ceiling water leak, washer repair, new thermostat, useless dishwasher repair/new dishwasher, deck stripping and sealing, and as of yesterday our AC doesn’t work (and by the sound of it, our heat pump is shot). So much for using our tax refund to pay off credit debt. Oh, and the tires on my car are bald. $600. I’m so excited about working for a company that hasn’t given me a raise in four years. Okay – enough complaining. I’m purged.

I bet ClearPlay is going to be a huge seller for Wal-Mart. I also think the moon will fall from its orbit and collide with the Earth tomorrow.

We started our weekend off by heading out to our local IMAX theater for a showing of the NASCAR Experience. It was breath-taking! I’m going to have to see it again. Then on Saturday, we drove up to Philadelphia to catch Poncho Sanchez in concert – whenever he’s on the east coast, Stephanie and I chase him down. His concerts are always lots of fun, and certainly worth the money and travel. We had a blast, and were able to scout out downtown Philly for our upcoming anniversary visit in May. Happy Easter!
