Twenty four days to Army Ten Miler race day! I’m feeling okay about actually finishing, but I’m having trouble dealing with my goal pace mental game. However, I ran my latest distance workout of six miles at goal race pace, and felt very good at the end. I’m also trying to finesse my precise stride, because I know that “shuffling” for ten miles will do more harm than good. My next challenge will be getting my body used to running at 8am on a Sunday morning. Argh!

I just stumbled upon the Great Pop vs. Soda Controversy. This is a pretty funny site, complete with breakdowns by state and county. I’ll have a soda, please.

I am completely speechless.

Let’s all give a big round of applause for my very first speeding ticket! Officer Friendly was kind enough to tag me at 74 in a 55 last night (just a hair under “reckless”), immediately as I left a one-hour backup out of a construction zone. All that in Stephanie’s new car! $150. Ouch.

I added an update to my Passat service log today, regarding some news and actions from VW about a recently discovered oil sludge issue. This is also applicable to the Audi A4.
