Since I spend most days sitting in front of a computer, I occasionally like to remind myself to do it safely. Who wants to be crippled and blind before the age of 30?
The other night, we heard that Alton Brown (of Food TV’s Good Eats) would be promoting his latest book at a local Border’s. He began with a brief Q&A session, then started book signing. There was a tremendous line, but we finally made it. Even after hours of dealing with looney fans, he was very nice and even took a moment for a photo! We’re such dorks.
Finally, a quality, affordable MP3 player, and just in time for my upcoming birthday!
I sometimes wish I was Stone Phillips, doing my own hidden camera investigation. A few months ago, my homeowners’ association informed me that the trim around our house needed to be repainted. So I called a local business and got the astronomical estimate of $980 worth of work. Ouch! So dad and I got out the extension ladder and spent an afternoon and $28 for one gallon of paint.
