On Saturday, we’re off to our annual beach week getaway with the A’Hearn clan! We’re keeping our fingers crossed that Lily will deal with the ride from DC to the Outer Banks in North Carolina, as she’s not the biggest fan of her car seat. But a vacation will do everyone some good – work has been a bear for me lately, and Stephanie could stand to shake off some cabin-fever from being home with Lily all the time.

Stephanie was lucky enough to time her maternity leave through the end of the school year. But come Fall, it will be back to work! Instead of returning to her previous duties with elementary special education, however, Steph was fortunate to find a half-time position in the county doing “assessment coordination.” She’s had experience with this type of work before, and the limited hours will be great for maintaining a close watch on Lily. It will help us save a bit on daycare, too, that’s for sure. Congrats to Stephanie on her new position – good luck!
