Seven months

Another month has brought many successes, yet more challenges for our little monkey! She’s sleeping quite well, both at night and for naps, which has been great. She still likes her half-hour power-naps, but will typically have one hour-long (or longer!) nap at some point in the day. All this has been especially impressive considering the past few weeks have been noteworthy: Lily’s second tooth is ready to pop at any moment, and no sooner did she start day care than she got her first cold! Who knew such a cute little thing could produce such magnificent boogers? Anyway, we were impressed she could sleep through a runny nose and teething.

We’ve also started Lily on “solid” foods this past month. While she’s still not a big eater (with very slow weight gain to prove it), she does like rice cereal, carrots, and oatmeal. We did try to introduce peas, but three days in she had a pretty significant allergic reaction in the form of hives and eczema. Add this to the list right under dairy (via mommy). Coming soon, sweet potatoes!

Oh, and she’ll be crawling any minute now! She’s able to get up on all fours and rock back and forth. Time to baby-proof!
