We’re making slow and steady progress getting the house (and our lives!) ready for February. With the help of some very generous friends we moved my home office to the basement and have cleared out the new baby room so we (read: I) can paint and furnish. In addition, for our distant friends and relatives I have finally gotten around to setting up Skype on the home computer to share all those fun baby moments in a few months. If you’d like to connect, send me an email (or check my Facebook page) for my username.

I’ve continued transitioning material little by little from scottahearn.com, including two recent additions to the photo gallery: our honeymoon in 2003 and my NASCAR “ride and drive” from 2004. I’m also working on getting the video from the day at racing school on youtube, so now everyone can watch as I nearly pass out from the G forces.

Stephanie and I made it back from our trip to upstate New York for the NASCAR race at Watkins Glen this past weekend. We’ve been to a couple of races before, but this was our first experience at a “road course” – it was very different, but a lot of fun! Photos have been posted (more about this below). It was also a great chance to see some family in and around Syracuse. It had been too long, and being able to catch up with everyone really meant a lot to us.
I have also been working steadily on getting some of our photo collections up online through Google’s Picasa software. It’s actually been a fun process to go through our digital shots, and pseudo-geotagging and captioning them. Albums are accessible via the “Photos” link above.

Welcome to teamAHearn.com! I’m still working on a ton of nerd stuff behind the scenes, but decided that it was far enough along to release. My intention was to make it somewhat different from scottahearn.com (which will continue to live on, but trimmed down and without the blog). This site’s main focus will obviously be the blog for me and Stephanie, with added emphasis on photos and possibly even video – provided I can figure out how to do all that, of course.
And a heads-up to my RSS subscribers, make sure you get the new feed via the “Subscribe” section to the right. I’ll be deactivating the feed on scottahearn.com soon. And for the time being, this feed will only include blog posts – no “reading/listening/watching” content yet.

It’s been over a month, but I’m still working the redesign of the site and transition to teamAHearn.com. It’s a slow and steady process, and it’s not like maintaining this site is my only job in life. Patience! It will happen someday, I promise.
In the meantime, our annual A’Hearn family beach week in Corolla, NC has come and gone. This year we went on one of those off-road jeep tours and saw some of the wild horses that roam the Outer Banks. Fun and stinky!
Then last Saturday we joined some friends of ours for the second year in a row seeing Rush at the Nissan Pavilion. It was another great show, and Steph was a trooper for coming along.

Next on our to-do? George Michael on Tuesday in DC, then up to Watkins Glen in August for the NASCAR road race! Hey, it’s summertime – we’re allowed to be over-committed.

ScottAHearn.com has been pretty quiet lately. Work has been a bear, I’ve been logging way too many hours in front of a brand new home computer, and I’ve been making grand plans for a new website. Unable to think of something catchy on my own, I have blatantly stolen a domain-naming convention from my friend Jeff and purchased teamAHearn.com. It’s only taken five years of marriage to realize that my domain name should probably reflect the content – and most of what I post is not just about me, but Stephanie as well. For now, teamAHearn.com will just be a mirror of ScottAHearn.com, so feel free to update those bookmarks now. But a name change is as good an opportunity as ever to come up with a new design as well. Stay tuned!
